The Truth About Organizational Change

Raquel Garzon leadership consulting session sitting in a chair, brown jacket and pants

I'm Raquel Garzon, and I have a low tolerance for organizational theater.

You know what I mean: The expensive initiatives that everyone knows won't work, the leadership behaviors everyone sees but no one addresses, the gap between what companies say they value and what they actually reward.

After 20+ years working with Fortune 500 leaders and teams across 25 countries, I've seen it all. And I've learned this:

The knowing-doing gap isn't a knowledge problem. It's a behavior problem.
And behavior problems require neuroscience, not another workshop.

Credentials That Matter

→ DHSc, specializing in human behavior - Nova Southeastern University

Translation: I understand how humans actually work, not how we wish they worked

→ CEO, Revitalize Project (2014-2025)

Human performance consultancy based in neuroscience, not buzzwords

→ Senior Leader, Johnson & Johnson/Human Performance Institute (2001-2014)

Worked with elite athletes, C-suite executives, leaders, and teams on sustainable high performance

→ MS in Nutrition Sciences, Texas A&M | BS in Nutrition & Dietetics, University of Florida

Registered Dietitian, Certified in Traumatic Stress Studies
The body and brain are connected. Shocking, I know.

→ 25+ countries, hundreds of organizations, thousands of leaders, tens of thousands of employees

Why I Do This Differently

Most consultants tell you what you want to hear. I tell you what you need to know.

Most programs focus on knowledge transfer. I focus on behavior change.

Most approaches ignore neuroscience. I build everything on how brains actually work.

I'm not here to inspire you. I'm here to help you close the gap between what you say you want and what you're willing to do.

That requires:
→ Honest assessment (What's actually happening vs. what you think is happening)
→ Hard conversations (About leadership, not just "those difficult employees")
→ Neuroscience-based tools (That work with your brain, not against it)
→ Accountability (For leaders first, then teams)

Fair warning: If you want someone to validate your current approach, I'm not your person.

If you want someone to tell you the truth and help you do something about it: that's exactly what I do.

Beyond the Credentials

I currently live in New Mexico and plan to move to Portland, Oregon later this  year.

When I'm not calling out organizational BS, I'm involved in community advocacy, performance art, mountain biking, and ballroom dancing.

I believe in science, direct communication, and treating people like adults.

I don't believe in corporate theater, performative leadership, or pretending technology will solve problems that require hard conversations.

Let's work together if you're ready for both.
